This post is a bit late but these pumpkins turned out so beautiful! 8th grade Students were studying value using pencil and colored pencil. Since it was fall, I set up a still life (using my document camera) and mini pumpkins and gourds. They were asked to divide the paper into 4 sections any way they chose. Next, they drew the still life lightly in pencil and then began shading!! We really tried to work on shading craftsmanship and I think they did a phenomenal job!
